This was the challenge: design a shared bedroom that girls or guys could call home, age 6-18. This was one of nine rooms in a new group foster home that started as beige-to-the-bone. It was up to nine local designers to take it from cold and blah to inviting and cheerful.
I wanted this room to feel hopeful and encouraging. An amusement park photo, bright colors, graphic patterns, fun lighting, and equal storage for both roomies are the canvas for a space I pray feels like theirs in the next chapter of their lives. This design was featured in Austin Home magazine.
