We had the pleasure of working with this client on creating a work-from-home loft years ago, and couldn’t wait to get our hands on this kitchen! We were thrilled to get the call when our clients were ready. This beautiful home is perched on a bluff, and deserved a welcoming and dynamic kitchen with flow.

And honestly, there was no where to go but up! The original layout was fully boxed in, hidden behind walls. The kitchen was dark, all brown, and the oven didn’t work. Which was a real heart-breaker considering our client is a talented hobbiest baker!

So we knocked out walls, updated the appliances, added a peninsula with stools, and took a tiny corner window in the dining area from 3’ to NINE FEET wide! And would you look at that view that was hidden?! Unbelievable.

While the overall impact is clean and bright, this kitchen is full of thoughtful details with personality: all new lighting, a penny tile backsplash, artisan glass knobs, and a surprise of wallpaper that anchors the back wall of the kitchen in color and pattern.

Now this sweet family of four has a kitchen that is a magnetic invitation for guests, with plenty of storage, extra seating, an airy, open flow, and a view that unapologetically upstages it all! Can you imagine the cookies you can make in this happy kitchen?
