Easygoing Home Base

Our sweet client for this project, K, loves life, works hard, and doesn't sweat the small stuff. She's a Big-Picture gal, doll of a wife, and fun mom to boot. She called us in for some facelifts outside and in.

Outside, we updated the paint colors, removed a porch post to open the flow, and updated the front door for a warm welcome and more light inside. We also spruced up the outdoor furniture and added a rain chain, for a stylish morning coffee spot.

Inside, we added a modern cheetah print runner to invite you upstairs with just the right touch of flair (K's husband dubbed it "urban jungle" carpet..ha!). New wood-look flooring replaced carpet upstairs, and created a warm, clean foundation for the bedrooms.

We made sure both kids’ rooms had plenty of space to play and to grow, thanks to open floor space, additional storage, and desks. Each room got an infusion of color, texture and whimsy with new curtains, rugs, and art that pays homage to the family's love of adventure and camping.

We worked together on the primary bedroom using K's grandparent's bedroom suite as inspiration for a romantic, nostalgic retreat. We chose a deep, saturated teal for the walls and swapped the ceiling fan for a chandelier. We updated the vanity with gold sconces and a velvet pouf with acrylic legs. The dresser now has sexy company with an original figure painting by local artist, Kim Willis, and an elegant arm chair.

K texted us after a few weeks in her new bedroom:

Getting ready to go camping. Shoving a sandwich in my face and looking at Pottery Barn kids mag. I think to myself - I have a magazine worthy house. I owe that sweet blissful feeling to you! Thank you!
